PS!

It has to be Rosé for St. Valentine Day
“Champagne is the only wine that leaves a woman beautiful after drinking it.”
- Madame de Pompadour
Vintage 2009
Louis Roederer is a producer of champagne based in ReimsFrance. Founded in 1776, it was inherited and renamed by Louis Roederer in 1833. It remains today as one of the only still independent and family-run maisons de champagne (Champagne house). Over 3.5 million bottles of Louis Roederer champagne are shipped each year to more than 100 countries all over the world.

2009 vintage here is ready to drink, but will keep. Disgorement ("gogget") in 2014. Blended Brut Champagne. Medium-Full Bodied, 12.0 % alcohol. A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, the wine is aged for four years in Roederer’s cellars and then left for a further six months following disgorgement. *

Color: Light bright pink with tones to orange.

Bouquet: The nose is fruit-driven with notes of wild red berries, dried cranberries and a hint of cacao. Great mousee with small elegant bubbles

Taste: The palate is rich and full-bodied but refreshing and smooth. The finish is mineral and long with the overall impression one of finesse and elegance.

Tested at home in Lier, from Friday 12. Februar to Sunday 14. Februar 2016
