Velkommen til min vinblogg med utvalgte smaksnotater fra egen vinkjeller, skrevet av en amatør som har vin og vinsmaking som hobby.
Her vil jeg publisere og skrive om viner jeg mener kan være til glede for flere og dele videre av hva en enkel amatør mener er gode kjøp av kvalitetsvin, samt at det vil komme anbefalinger på gode viner for lengre lagring.

2019 Topp 10 rødvin

De 10 beste rødvinene jeg smakte i 2019

Når året lir mot slutt er det dags får å ta et tilbakeblikk i speilet og sette opp sin egen vinliste og her har jeg samlet mine Topp 10 rødviner for 2019. Dette er en liste plukket ut blant alle vinene jeg har testet og drukket gjennom året og skrevet smaksnotat til. 

Egentlig en vanskelig øvelse da jeg har smakt mye over 1000 viner i år. Likevel prøver jeg med en liste og en rangering i forhold til min egen subjektive vurdering, samt egen preferanse.  For de som er litt observante vil man se at jeg sverger til «Old World», altså viner fra Frankrike, Spania og Italia, med en outsider fra Libanon.


Jeg har plukket ut 10 røde her og senere kommer en liste 10 hvite, hvorav 4 er Champagne og en Rosé.

🎯 96(97-98)/100 pts 4.7 ⭐️

🏰 Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou is located in the south-east of Saint-Julien appelation on the left bank in Bordeaux. The wine produced here was classified as one of fifteen Deuxièmes Crus (Second Growths) in the original Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855, also mentioned by the leading Super Second.

🕰 The wines are aged for 18 months in 50% to 80% new oak barrels

🍇 The vineyards are planted with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot, but the ‘09 has a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot that achieved 13.5% natural alcohol.

💨 Very shy on the nose just after opening. Gave it 2-3 hours in decanter and  opened up nicely, but this wine is so pure young, even with its 11 years on its back.

🎨 Deep purple and inky color with some intense hue. 

👃🏼 Classic left bank aromas as cassis, blackcurrant and blackberry, cigar, leather, graphite, oak with some sweet liqorice and cedar the nose.

👄 There are still a lot of tannins and acidity to be developed and polished, but with great structure and perfectly well-balanced and well-made wine. Great depth and finesse with an elegant monumental palate.  Will try a new bottle in 5 year time. By now, 96 point but will probably end up at 97-98p in 5-10 years time when the wine reach its peak.

👍🏼 I decided to try out one of my lastest bottles I just recieved via privat import, just for a test. The other bottles will be stored aways for 10-15 years before next will be open.

🏰 Domaine Michelot is located in Morey St. Denis, but also with parcels in Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy. Clos de la Roche is the most northerly of Morey-Saint-Denis' four grand cru vineyards.

💨 Decanted and airiation for close to 3 hours and open up nicely

🎨 Dark rubin red color with a glint of purple shadow

👃🏼A very young, pure and powerful bouquet with redcurrant, black cherry, plum, truffel and some hint of oak on the nose.

👄 Far too young, and at some time this wine feel a bit underdeveloped, but the first sip show a plump and structured wine with tonns of weight and punch. Great concentration, laiered and nuanced, characteristics with the traditional forrest floor, mushroom, truffel with an earthy and a pretty nice and soft acidity mid-palate. Some pinch of spice and a minerality lingering in the finish.

🏰 Cos d'Estournel is a Chateau and winery in the Saint-Estèphe appellation of the Médoc. In the 1855 Classification, it was classified as a second growth and remains one of the most prominent and sought-after of all Bordeaux wines.

🍇 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc

🍷 Here I have open a Magnum bottle from 2014 and is far to young and probably «cradle robbery». I still find this wine very impressive at this stage and especially for the intensity of its structure and the explosive dark fruits on the palate. Normally this wine is dark, brooding and tannic when young, developing complexity and intensity over time.

🎨 Very deep, dark purple-black color – almost opaque. 

👃🏼The are beautiful crushed blackcurrant and blackberry character on the nose at the first sniff, the follows sweet ripe cherries and chocolate with hint of smoke and aniseed.



👄 The wine is of cause tannic at this stage, but not so intence as expected as they are very fine-grained which add precision and focus instead and seriously intense fruit and berry aromas and flavors. Extream powerfull and complex wine, full of energy that can stay in cellars for decades. I still have a couple of more Magnum and will store in the abslute rear row.

🍇 100% Tempranillo

🎨 Deep rubin red and opaque colour

👃🏼Clean, fresh and a compact fragrance of dark berry, tobacco, dark mushroom and some lovely cedary spices on the nose.  


👄 Wonderful bold and complex entry with a brillant soft mothfeel, full body, marvelous slim and polished tannins, with an electrified acidity. Soft, long and well toned finish

🎯 93/100 poeng og 4.3 ⭐️

👍🏼 Dette var Barolo sin det. Jeg har hatt flere viner fra denne trollmannen og forkjemper og tradisjonist av en vinprodusent. Dette er den første Baroloen fra Flavio Roddolo jeg smaker. Mega hype vin og Flavio har nesten blitt en kultfigur fra Barolo i  Piemonte.  Vinene hans er stort meget vanskelig å få tak i og blir tatt inn til VMP i meget små kvanta. Vinene hans trenger mange timer med luft for å åpne seg, men er du tålmodig vil en oppleve en helt annen vin enn den som møter deg ved første test rett etter åpning.

🍇 100 % Nebbiolo

🎨 Klar, mørk rubinrød farge men en liten mursteinsrød kant.

👃🏼 Duft av litt søte mørke bær, kirsebær, rips, tjære og roser, jordlige toner som høy og stall.


👄 Kraftig anslag i munnen med en syrlig og spenstig syre. Tanninene er godt integrert i denne over 12 år gammel Barolo. En lang herlig avslutning med en stram og rustikk tekstur. Dette er en strålene vin som fortsatt vil levere fint 10-20 år til.

🎯 94/100 pts 4.4 ⭐️

💨 2 hours in decanter.

🎨 Dark ruby, with brick edge. 

👃🏼 Amazing fragrance of vanilla, blackbarry, liquorice, leather and anis with an intense, almost massive nose and some hints of barrels and oak. 

👄 Still with fresh acidity and ripe silky tannins. Rich and fruity, ripe, close to jammy at this stage, but with a firm and beatiful backbone. Complex, nuanced and intense liquorice with a long and structured finish. Wow! 


🍽 Served to lamb steak with creamed potatoes and mashed root-vegetables.

🎯 92/100 pts  4.2 ⭐️

🏰 Domaine Michèle & Patrice Rion is a wine producer and négociant based in the Côte de Nuits region. Grape to this wine are situated halfway up the hill in Chambolle-Musigny and facing full east. The shallow clay soil contains a significant amount of crushed limestone.

🗜 Hand-picked grapes and scrupulously sortedm then fermented in open stainless steel tanks for around three weeks.

🕰 The wine is matured in oak barrels, with about 50% new oak, for 18 months.

🎨 Medium garnet edging to deep brick.

👃🏼Chambolle aroma of delicate herbal raspberry and redcurrant scents with clear minerality. Perfumed, violets and some notes of autumn leaves and wet forest floor with spices on the nose.


👄 Still fresh and elegant, perfect balanced with a soft grip. Nice acidity, ripe silky tannins, decent intensity with getailed fresh fruits. Quite chewy and tight, straight and tense in the mouth, nuanced with a long narrow and fresh finish.

🏰 Fra en region med konflikter kommer her en kompleks og en egenart vin inspirert av både Bordeaux og Rhônedalen. Chateau Musar har gjort det umulige mulig. Gjennom den visjonære vinmakeren Serge og hans jordnære økonombror Ronald har familien Hochar dyrket druer i den krigsherjede Bekaadalen i Libanon i mer enn et halvt århundre.

🍇 34% Cinsault, 33% Carignan, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon

🕰 Årgang 1996 var dessverre ikke en av de store årgangene i Bekaadalen og med noen mindre problemer i kjelleren til Hochar som også førte til noe utblandet vin.

🎨 Dyp og rød med en lett utviklet brun/orange kant.

👃🏼Kompleks duft av mørke og røde bær med varme fruktnoter, rosiner og tørket frukt, lær og fjøs med hint av kjøtt, krydder og urter.

👄 Rik og saftig med en fyldig frukt og fine utviklede elementer. Lang og kompleks.  En deilig og klassisk Musar. Konsentrert og markert fruktighet og syrlighet. Modne tanniner. 


🍽 En meget flott matvin som står seg elegant til høstens ferske lammekjøtt og som opprinnelig er skapt for lammerettene fra Midt-Østen.

2010 Muga Prado Enea Rioja Gran Reserva

🎯 92/100 pts 4.3 ⭐️

🏰 Muga was founded in 1932 in the Rioja region of Spain. The winery is located in the town of Haro with vineyards all around Rioja. Prado Eneo have grape from the Baltracones vineyard.

🍇 80% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano.

🕰 The 2010 Vintage missing some of the maturity as my previous bottle from 2004

🎨 Dark rubin color with purple edge. 

👃🏼 Lovely aroma of red berries, dried dark cherries, vanilla, leather, barrels, herbs and black pepper. 

👄 Perfect balanced with a lively acidity and firm and fairly rounded tannins. Complex, harmonious and intence mouthfill with a lovely freshness, powerful and fruity intensity.  A delicious, elegant finish with a long aftertaste.

🎯 92/100 pts 4.2 ⭐️

👍🏼 My first taste of the bottle from the 2009 Vintage and from one of the best wine cooperatives in the world.

🏰 Produttori del Barbaresco is a kooperative of 52 members producing grapes from  105 hectars, mainly nebbiolo from 9 single (cru) Vineyards. Pora is a 10,8 hectars Vineyard with south to south-west exposure and soil of limestone and clay. Vineyard owners: Dellaferrera, Manzone

🗜Vinification: Fermentation at 30°c in 28 days of skin contact time, malolactic completed.

🕰 Ageing: 36 months in large oak barrels and 12 months in bottles and with bottling date, May 2013 and in total 13,333 bottles produced. This is bottle no. 2627

🍇 100% Nebbiolo

🎨 Dark rubin red color with a orange to brick growing edge.

👃🏼Scent of earth, leather, red cherry,  plum, licorice and roses with some hint of sweet herbs and spicy character on the nose. 


👄 Partly to well developed, medium plus body with great maturing tannins. Vibrant and with firmly acidic that have a great balance.  Very nice concentration and structural with a long earthy finish.
