🏰 Ulysse Collin is a small grower Champagne house based in Congy, to the south of Épernay and west of Vertus. Olivier Collin and his wife Sandra Zaragoza and run the Ulysse Collin House today and have archived an iconic status with their Champagne over the past years.
🍇 100% Chardonnay from the single vineyard Les Enfers in Cogny, where they own a parcel of just 0.64 hectar and from 40 year old vines.
🗜 Malolactic fermentation and between 2.5-6 years of sediment contact in the bottles prior to degeneration in Match 2019 with only 1.2 g of dosage.
🕰 Maturation for 48 months.
🍾 Just 6000 bottles are made of this incredible Champagne.
🎨 Deep and clear golden color.
👃🏼 Intense and extreme citrus, lemonpeel and pure fruits aromas on the nose with a significant and clean mineral character.
👄 What a powerfull and muscular wine, with a depth and concentration I probably never have tasted in a Champagne earlier. Complex and with a raw and rough acidity but the fruits and mineral follow with same intensity and give this powerhouse still in fully balance. Lively and cascading mousse with a long great mineral finish. This is a wine for the next decade.
